JESSIE’S GIRLS AM-BADASS-ADOR
I’m a Kansas girl livin’ in an East Coast world! I met my husband Donnie while he was in the Army and we’ve lived in VA, NY, FL, MO, and now in NC. I am a stay-at-home mom to Rourke, 3 and Eleanor, 2. Cole and Zeke, our Cane Corso pups, complete our crazy, wonderful family!
I have a B.S. in Animal Science and Industry with an emphasis in Equine Studies- which is a fancy way of saying I’m the best you’ll ever see at scooping poop of all kinds. HA! I spent years working in veterinary clinics before attending Cosmetology school and working on men’s haircuts (continuing my animal experience, hehe).
I began weightlifting in high school but fitness fell out of my routine until Donnie (an avid gym-goer) helped me find my groove again. Nowadays, the gym is my haven, my 90 minutes of freedom each day. I decided I should make the most of it and do something badass…..enter the 2019 3K Challenge. I never imagined it’d lead here, but being a Jessie’s Girl has taught me I’m stronger than I thought possible, on the outside AND the inside! Each goal I reach gives way to a bigger, more engulfing one and I have become passionate about maintaining this lifestyle and setting an example of both self-discipline and self-love for my kids.
When I’m not in the gym you can find me organizing something, making a list of something to organize, or cleaning something I recently organized. I’m lighthearted, happy and easygoing. I pride myself on being a woman of my word (however many of them may be curse words) and believe the best gift in the world is a sincere compliment. My hope as a Jessie’s Girl ambassador is to help others find this amazing community, develop their knowledge and confidence, and succeed in making their own fitness goals a reality!
