I am a beach bummin’, adventure seeking, animal lovin’, personal training, blog writing, wife and mother. I love to be outdoors, whether it’s working in the garden, going for a run, exploring new trails, kayaking on the water, or just bathing in the sun…I’m always down for some fresh air and an adventure! Growing up I was quite the “firecracker” and I like to think that I haven’t lost my touch. I’ve always been very strong-willed and some would go as far as even calling me stubborn (however, I prefer the term determined). Once I had set my mind on something, I’ll do whatever it takes to get it (just ask my Mama, bless her heart)! But it wasn’t until recently that I’ve really learned how to make the most out of that drive to help me overcome my weaknesses. After having my second child, I decided it was time to quit my full-time job to be a stay-at-home Mom. While making this big transition, my inactivity and poor eating habits quickly spiraled out of control. Within a couple months I was overweight, and suffering from severe depression and chronic fatigue. I decided one day that, for the sake of my kids, I needed to take control of my health. My research led me to a low calorie and high cardio lifestyle, which helped me drop 30 pounds and kick my depression but the fatigue was still so real. Pretty soon my progress slowed and I spent 3 years at a very frustrating plateau; no matter how hard I trained and dieted, I was stuck.

In walks Jessie Hilgenberg to save the day (well, really my life). As I was setting goals for 2015, I just so happened to pick a photo of Jessie off of the Internet to go on my vision board. I used my top-notch stalking skills to find out who she was, which inevitably lead me here to her website. Next thing I know I was purchasing her muscle building e-training program… and I have pretty much lived happily ever after. Since starting these programs, I have seen continual and steady progress. My energy levels are FINALLY up because I’m no longer over training and under fueling. I am now stronger than I have ever been in my life, both mentally and physically. I live a life that I love, one that has balance, one that empowers and builds confidence in me on a daily basis, one that helps me regularly reaching goals, and one that doesn’t require sacrificing hours of my time running marathons or strictly eating rabbit food. These days I have so much more time, strength, and energy to devote to my family and doing the things that I love to do. Jessie’s programs gave me the tools I needed to use my passion and drive to build the best me I can be, and I want nothing more than to use those tools to help others become their best self.

I have completed Muscle Building 1, Bikini Body, and Muscle Building 2 (in that order).
I’m an early riser, so the first thing I do is ask myself “how bad do you want it?” That gets me out of bed. Then I chug 16 oz of water, and take ‘Shred Her’. I foam roll in silence, to focus in on my goals for that day (and to not wake my kids). The second I leave my house, music goes up, aminos and creatine go down, and workout gets done!
I am all about the protein pancake. All day, everyday.
I’m definitely a big ol’ box of granola. It’s like a surprise bag! I could be sweet, I could be nuts, there’s really no telling what you’ll get in each bite but, regardless, I like to think that I’m still good for you;)
