INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • sliced black olives
  • low fat, part skim mozzarella string cheese
  • rye sunflower bread (or your favorite bread of choice!)

PREP:

Pre-heat oven to 425°. Using your favorite bread, slice 6 pieces of long, oval-shaped mummy bodies LOL. Spread 1/2 cup (total) pizza sauce (or marinara sauce) evenly over all 6 mummies. Place 2 sliced olives on each mummy to create the eyes. Peel random strings from the string cheese and “mummify” each piece of bread, loosely zig-zagging the individual strings of cheese all over the bread, including on top of the eyes! Place all 6 mummies onto a cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Do not over-melt the cheese! Once cool, the bread should be crispy enough to grab and enjoy! If I’m eating a pre or post workout meal, you can have up to 2 mummies with a high protein, moderate carb and low fat and fiber meal. If I’m not eating a pre or post workout meal, I had 3 mummies along with a meal that has high protein, 10-15 grams carbs and 5-6 grams fat
