Do you ever stop to think about how amazing the world around you is? Even if you’re having a crappy day?

This month is gratitude awareness month and we want to talk about how important it is to have a gratitude practice in your life.

A gratitude practice is one of the most helpful things we’ve added into our days, and this month we want to give you some ideas on how you can incorporate one into yours.

We want to start with one that you can do even if you think that there’s absolutely no time left in your schedule to add in something like this.

It’s called the 3-minute Gratitude Drill and doing this first thing in the morning will help you feel fantastic and start a chain of amazingness that will trickle over into all other aspects of your day!

It’s quite simple…

All you need to do is:

  1. Set a timer for 3 minutes (yep, that’s all it takes!)
  2. Look at your immediate surroundings and work outwards verbally listing the things that you are grateful for and don’t stop until the 3 minute timer is up
  3. Just try to stop a smile from forming on your face (It’s impossible!) :)

This Gratitude Drill can be done at anytime of the day, but we prefer to do it first thing in the morning.

Even if we’re stressed to the max and wake up with a million things to do in the morning, doing this ONE thing will completely change your state in the morning for the better.

Ok, that’s all we have for you today.

Your task for today is to take a 3 minute break whenever you need a breather or first thing tomorrow and do the 3-Minute Gratitude Drill.

We promise you’ll IMMEDIATELY feel better after doing it and we hope you make it part of your daily routine!

We want to hear about your experience, share it in the comments below!

XOXO
