I love makeup but prefer it to look natural and be easy and quick to apply (momlife & #gymlife). I may not be an expert, but when it comes to functional makeup that works for the gym, I think I’ve got it down! It can be hard to find makeup that can be worn (that actually lasts), through a sweaty and intense Jessie’s Girls workout, and it can be even harder to find products that are quick and easy to apply. Here are four of my favorite go-to makeup products that are absolutely amazing, and are strong enough to tough it out with you while you’re busy making gains in the gym.

URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER LONG LASTING SETTING SPRAY

Basically, this product ensures that whatever makeup you’ve already applied on your face looks gorgeous and flawless for hours and hours, no matter how rigorous your day is. Can you say AMAZING!? If you have to workout in the middle of your workday, this setting spray will help your look stay put and you won’t have to shave off precious workout time to re-apply makeup! It’s awesome because it is oil and paraben-free, so it won’t contribute to breakouts and you won’t be applying a harsh chemical to your skin. It’s super easy to use… literally all you do is spray a light layer of the product over your face, let it set for a moment, and whala! Your makeup won’t move, smudge, or run.

Tarte Tinted Moisturizer

This product is great if you’re in a rush and don’t have time to do a whole face of makeup, but want a little coverage that can go a long way. It’s also oil-free, so again, it won’t contribute to breakouts if you’re prone. It even acts as a sunscreen, too! All you need is a little dab, spread over your face with a fluffy brush, and you’ve got some coverage without taking time away from being a badass in the gym!

Tarte Cheek Stain

I’m all for brightening my cheeks just a little for a workout, but I also like makeup to look super natural. Tarte Cheek Stain is one of my go-to’s for when I head to the gym. Also, an added bonus – it’s another makeup that’s designed to stay on your face all day long – perfect for any workout. Like any product I recommend to my Jessie’s Girls, it’s a natural product that is paraben and phthalate-free. It comes in an easy-to-apply stick so you just apply it to the apples of your cheeks, and blend into your face for a natural look. I like using a makeup sponge to blend.

Bonus: Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

I totally get it. Hair that feels good and looks clean can be equally as important as what goes on your face, and I know that dry shampoo is a staple for most of us. Let’s be honest, nobody has time to wash their hair every day, or maybe even multiple times a day, depending on how sweaty you’re getting during your workouts. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is an amazing product that smells great and acts as a dry shampoo, but also gives a little volume and texture to your hair in the process. There are a ton of natural products in this texturizing spray that protect your hair from the outside elements, especially if you’ve colored your hair like I have. It helps keep that color looking fresh; you might even be able to wait a little bit longer to head back to the salon for a touch-up. It’s also paraben free, so that also one less chemical you’re putting on your hair! You can use it just like you would use a dry shampoo by spraying it at the roots, or by spraying it onto other areas of your hair to add some texture and volume. This is perfect for primping just after a workout so you can really kill it without worrying about what to do with your hair afterward.

I’m all for looking and feeling your best, even when you’re busting your ass in the gym doing a Jessie’s Girls workout! The last thing you should have to worry about is if your makeup is smudging, or if you’ll need to wash your hair for the second time that day because you were sweating.
